About Stewardship
Currently the committee, along with Church Extension Fund is promoting and presenting workshops that introduce a new Stewardship Program to the District congregations and individuals.
The program known as a Free and Joyous Response. It is base in the Consecration Sunday material presented by Herb Miller and adapted from the LCMS program titled Consecrated Stewards.
Preliminary results from this program have been encouraging and the committee intends to continue supporting the program.
The committee does recognize that stewardship education is a congregational responsibility and sees its role as one of support. To that end the committee has developed a list of resources for use by congregations. The committee realizes its greatest opportunity lies in assisting and encouraging congregations in this area of ministry and service.
